Sheri is a member of the Land Use and Litigation Department at Lombardo & Gilles, overseeing a variety of land use and land use litigation matters, including, but not limited to, development and disposition agreements, redevelopment, policy level land use issues, water supply and transfer matters and California Environmental Quality Act litigation.
Her extensive background in land use matters includes participation in a landmark water credit transfer case in Monterey County involving SB 610 and SB 221 compliance, and, most recently, her favorable Supreme Court environmental decision in City of Marina v. California State University (2006) Cal. Lexis 9286.
Sheri started her land use career as authority counsel for the Fort Ord Reuse Authority, specializing in all aspects of land use in military base reuse. Afterwards, she advised the County of Monterey as deputy county counsel on a variety of land use matters relating to the Brown Act, California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the Coastal Act, the Public Records Act and conflict of interest codes.
Sheri is an active member of the Women's Trial Lawyers, President-Elect of the Monterey County Bar Association and a member of the Santa Cruz Bar Association. In addition, Sheri has been a guest lecturer at Cal Poly on environmental and water litigation issues, as well as a guest speaker on the Clear Channel Radio, where she provides information on developing effective city-county and university relationships.
Sheri enjoys horseback riding, jogging and softball.
