Dale is the Director of Planning and Permit Services Department at Lombardo & Gilles, where he specializes in a full range of planning and permit activities with extensive strong experience in general plans, zoning ordinances, code enforcement, coastal planning, the Subdivision Map Act and the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). In his tenure with Monterey County of over 34 years, Dale managed a full range of planning and building permit activities and is highly regarded as a common sense problem solver and a strong team player.
Most recently, from May 2005 to October 2007, Dale was the Interim Director for Building Services for Monterey County, managing Building Services for Monterey County, including permit center, code enforcement, plan check, building inspection and grading inspection. During this period of time, Dale managed a staff of 60, with an operating budget of $7 million.
Dale is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners. As a long-time resident of Salinas, Dale has been active in local youth sports and high school sports. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Rancho Cielo and a member of the Castroville Rotary.
